Job Title: Apprentice Engineer Daily Tasks: Assisting of senior engineers in their duties. Daily interactions: Other sections of the project, senior management, the client. Daily interactions externally: Responsibilities: Weekly checks on equipment, completing delegated tasks, writing of RAMS and permits, leading individual projects.
Gaining internal and external qualifications such as cat and genny, Level 3 in engineering, NVQ in construction and TMICE
I enjoy working within the team, outdoors work. The company is dedicated to improving staff with training.
Continued feedback from management. Starting to build a name in the industry, respected by colleagues. My opinion is valued and asked for. I'm involved in all stages of the project.
Starting site induction Continued training as the job requires professional qualifications such as SSSTS Academic qualifications such as BTEC LVL 3 in Engineering. Continued support from mentors and tutors. Delegated tasks where I feel like i'm being challenged
My training provider has excellent tutors and if extra help is needed I can get it. It's easy to keep up to date with assignments as they are clearly presented and explained in a way in which there is little confusion
I receive constant support from my employer. I am able to ask for 1 to 1ns at any time I can always count on my colleagues for support
The apprenticeship salary is fixed at a competitive level and pay rises bi annually. There is travel allowances and a continued pay scale if I continue on to higher education
I can attend ICE Seminars. I have become a construction ambassador so I attend events and schools describing what it is like working in this industry.
