Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician. UK Wide turbine maintenance onshore and offshore.
Learned a lot of new skills and a lot of on the job training. Achieved certificates in a lot of courses from fire awareness to offshore survival. Will achieve a qualification in advanced apprenticeship when complete.
Siemens have a lot of benefits available to all employees which can be very helpful if you use them. Working with everyone on site is good fun and make a lot of new friends.
Our managers are very appreciative and supportive of everything we do. They are always available if we need anything and make the time to help us.
Training program has improved drastically in the number of years I have worked here. There is a very clear structure and objectives to work too.
Our nvq work is managed by Belfast college and there assessors are very helpful and are prepared to make the time to help you. They have regular site visits to check on progress.
Our apprentice managers are very supportive and will always try to help you out to the best of their ability.
As far as an apprenticeship goes, the Siemens apprenticeship is very well paid. You can earn way above your needs if you want too.
Siemens occasionally has corporate events and socializing experiences for its employees. The Siemens benefits are very helpful and offer various things like food vouchers to cinema tickets.
