I am currently in my third year IT Apprenticeship. I am doing Retail IT. Currently working along side my boss I am dealing with Dealership issues and all of their systems. Day to Day work includes any issues coming through with Dealers, their systems and other general issues with applications we use. I have many other projects and work in different areas to get jobs done.
Many new skills. When starting the Apprenticeship I had just left High School so my IT knowledge was basic. I believe since starting my apprenticeship I now have an advanced knowlegde of the IT industry. I have gained level 3 experience and I am now working towards my HNC and HND.
I love working with Vauxhall. The IT apprenticeship is great. So far every job role I have worked in I have enjoyed. The team I have around me are always great and willing to help with whatever issue you have. They understand for me it is a learning curve and they have guided me in the right ways.
Extermly Vaulued. They really make you feel like part of the team.
Before starting I thought that it was going to be very basic jobs. But since working here I have been proved wrong time and time again. Working with such a large company like Vauxhall and completing jobs that really make a difference makes doing the apprenticeship that much better. Everything from college to working in the offices has been amazing.
College are also outstanding with support. A tutor is sent to the work place to check up on myself and other apprentices.
Vauxhall are excellent at helping me out when I need it. Always making sure that I am OK throughout the year. The ADECCO HR team are amazing and always look out for you. Even if you have done something wrong they are never too harsh with you. They know when you need to be pushed back onto the right path and they are excellent with this all.
Salary at Vauxhall is good. You earn enough to cover most if not all costs. Car insurance, petrol, rent and food living are all covered in the package with a little left over on top.
Yes. Vauxhall as a company have many opertunuties such as events and other local activities.
Yes
Because in the Luton area Vauxhall are the largest company. Being able to say you work for such a great company is something that I personally enjoy telling people and I know others would as well.
Make sure you are eager to learn. Also ensure that you know enough about the company and understand what an real good opertunity it is to work for Vauxhall.
