HR Training and Development Assistant - Organising Training Courses for Employees: Such as our leadership training as well as training for all new intakes where I will plan and organise the event from start to finish. - Assisting with Recruitment of Undergrads and Apprentices I help out with the assessment centres as well as assisting during the interview process. - Work Experience Scheduling I independently look after the work experience programme at Vauxhall. Organising who is coming in H+S and organise timetables. - Running reports of Goal Status for Employees - Updating the Internal HR Website
I have developed many new skills in this role such as: Excel - Vlookups, Pivot Tables, Graphs and comparing data Communication- As part of the HR team i am able to make many connections throughout the business improving my communication skills
I really enjoy the whole apprenticeship programme as i have been able to grow as an individual and meet many new people. While learning the sills i need for my future.
Very valued. They support you and notice when you are doing well. they are happy to involve you in anything you are interested in and treat you like another member of the team.
The induction process and handover process each year is very sturtured helping you to fit in to the company with ease and your new role each year.
Bedford college are really supportive with any needs or worries you may have regarding your training. They respect that you work as well as go to college and understand your needs.
We recieve a mentor to help us with anything we need. We receive a lot of support from your team that you work in and will help you to succed and progress throughout your apprenticeship.
Vauxhall pay is very good and very competative you will be able to live comfortably and afford much more than you would if you went to uni.
There are many opportunities outside of work. I have been able to attend Goodwood Festival of speed, Career Talks as i am an apperentice ambassador as well as CSR days where we are able to help a charaity. There is also a good community between the apprentices where we have all made friends for life.
