I am an apprentice planner, I interact daily with other planners as well as other people within my project team (QS, PM, Cost Eng)to ensure the information I have is correct. I am slowly doing more complex things but at the minute I am still doing simple tasks like building WBS structures and adding activities, I have not yet started learning the theory behind the logic.
I am doing a lot of training to further understand the company I am working for and am currently doing a mechanical apprenticeship to further understand all the different aspects of my job
I enjoy all aspects of my job, the people are really nice and the company is very understanding when it comes to appointments etc
I do feel valued as when I am involved in tasks/projects, I am praised when I do a good job
I am only at the beginning but I feel that it is very structured
Whenever I have a problem or a question I can go to my training advisor, she is very nice and always tries to help
I have not needed any support so far
The salary is good, but it can be difficult to manage sometimes
Yes, I am attending a planning forum soon
