as an apprentice assistant relationship manager my day to day roles involes catering to the need of our commercial clients and helping my relationship managers prepare for meeting with businesses by creating a customer brief and researching suitable products and services for thier expressed needs
i have become more competent with the financial sector, having been enrolled with the chatered banker institution i am required to stody towards a professional qualification to help with my day to day role
I am yet to branch out and experience different parts of the bankt o see what offers there are for me, the programme is extrmemely beneficial but i am yet to scratch the surface of a pool of opportunities
i feel very valued at rbs, although i am just an apprentice ive been given so much responsibility, it makes me feel that the company values my potential and beleives i am more of an asset then i am a liability
as this is the firt year of taking on so many apprentices the reqruitment process was a little misleading and did not really provide that much information. howver once i joined the company the apprenticeship scheme had been well strcutured, including online classes towards my qualification, event where i learn about the business and get to meet the other apprentices and workshops to improve my skills
training provider bpp are extremely helpful and kind, they reply to my emails instantly whatver query i may have and have provided more than enough recources towards my qualificcation
my line manager and director are very supportive, they give me the time i require towards my studies and always ensure that if i need anything thier door is always open
salary package is well above any other apprenticeship placement i have seen. i get a full benefit package including 25% tax free benefits. (I really dont know what todo with all the money theyre paying me! as i do not have any outgoings apart from a phone bill)
Havent really seen many opportunities outside of work, though there are plenbty of opportunities with subsidaries of the bank
