My Role is in the Commercial Healthcare team. My role involves assisting the relationship managers on a day to day basis. This involves dealing with customers calls and eamils and reacting to requests or quiers. This could ange from opening an account to chasing up annual accounts.
I have developed my eamil and telephone conversation skills also my professionalism. It has also enchanced my integrity and confidentiality.
I thurelly enjoy my programme beacuse everyone is really helpful and manage to find time to mentor me. The atmosphere at work is always positive so this helps alot.
I feel very valued within RBS and in my team. I feel this way because i am being given extra roles and responsiblitys regualry which indicates to myself that the bank think i am competant in performing these.
The programme is well organisted with regular oportunities to get involved in extra learning sessions but the structure could be a little better e.g i am doing my exam in the same month as been asked to start the online work books which take quite a long time so isnt leaving much time to revise.
The training prvider is helpful because their is a 1-1 person for a pooint of contact or alternatively there is a generic email address which is constantly monitored. But i feel there was too many wated hours on the webinars because of connection isssues.
My employers are very supportive and allocate me learning time throughout the week to sit away from my desk to get some proper learning done.
The salary covers my costs well but i don`t drive so not too sure if i would cope as well if i had a car to buy/run and pay for parking as there is a lack of parking facilities in our building.
Yes there is plenty of opportunities to get involved with charitable organistaions of which i am currently taking part with e.g. raising the charity awarness and raising money.
Yes
Yes i am enjoying my time with the organisation so would definetly recomend. it has been a lot more enjoyable and i feel i have gained more from it than conventional education.
I would advise researching the role and the company/ industry to see if it would suit their individual goals / ambitions but also be open minded of where the organisation could take you, dont feel like the firts role you have will be the one for life because there is many opportunities within the banking industry.
