Network Manager Review

I work on the network management team, I complete account opening and closure requests on a day to day basis. I maintain these accounts by regularly doing checks on them, I also maintain relationships and networks which we hold with different agent banks in other countries.

Yes, my skill to network and interact with people have definatly improved. This is something i am now involved with everyday and I have definatly improved and became more confident in myself. Also time management, I can now manage my time alot better and more independantly as i have many different tasks i have to complete throughtout the course of the day.

I thouroughly enjoy the programme. I enjoy my job role and dont dread the thought of coming in to work. Everyone on my floor is very kind and i felt like i fit into my team so well. The programme is cleverly run so i never feel overloaded and stressed with work but do have a regualar flow of work and I am never sat around doing nothing.

I feel extremely valued. Considering I only started in October and I 100% feel apart of RBS. From the day i started there has been numerous conference calls and meetings in order to make me feel welcome and valued. My managers instantly made me feel apart of the team and I never felt out of place or not welcome.

Its well organised, from the first day in the office the induction days took place and this was extremely well organised as we were given a full timetable of the whole day. Throughout the course of the induction we were provided important information of how the programme will run. Bpp our apprentice organiser provided us an indepedant learning plan with every single date for every exam/lesson/review so we know what to expect and when.

Quite a bit. I can contact my assesor or the team who deal with us whenever I like by email - although sometimes they are not so quick with the response. I have monthly telephone reviews with my assesor and she supports me with any questions or problems that i have. Although i do feel we do have to very much teach ourselves the content and i think the live webinars should assist us more, rather than doing a breif overview.

As much as can be given, I feel my employer constantly supports me through everything. If i need extra time to revise and not work this is provided, when i failed an exam i wasnt made to feel like i was in trouble just encouraged to try again. They are very understanding about the work load i need in regards to my studying and I feel it works very well.

Very much so, I am very happy with my salary as this is my first full time job and am very pleased. It meets my travel costs to and from work and an occasional lunch that i buy. Considering I am an apprentice i didnt expect such a good wage and it motivates me to work harder.

There are plenty. I have signed up for the Young Banker Assosication and we have opened a hatchery on the first floor where 80 entrepenurs have set up base. I signed up for the entrepunial development accademy and they hold sessions outside of work in order to improve skills. There is many of oppurtunites which people can choose from, including CSR oppurtunities and things like sports relief.

From the minute i started i was made to feel welcome and part of the team, I was gradually introduced to my work and over time taught most of the things I need to know. The pay is great and the environment to work is very calm and an easy going environment.

I would advice to be confident, there is many steps that need to be took in order to get such a good place within RBS. Confidence will initally make you shine in them interviews, also dont be nervous. On my first interview I was so scared but everyone is so nice and friendly and RBS employees are genuinly here to help you and not critise.
