Currently in the role of Assistant Best Practice Manager for PDC. Doing this I visit different Boots stores across the central region, and advise them on the best way to run the PDC hubs, and find out what is working well and what is not. I look at fuel card reports and wasted delivery reports on a daily basis, and see if anything can be improved upon.
I have learnt better time management, and how to organise myself better. Travelling alot has helped with this.
I enjoy my programme very much. I have worked for Boots instore and now working at support office I have seen it from both sides. I feel supported by my team and know that anything questions/queries that I have I can go to any of them about.
I have regular catch-ups with my line manager, where I can tell them whats going well and what isnt, and they can tell me about my progress. Also I get the opportunity to get involved with different tasks and projects and get a broad view of the business.
Very well organised. I know where to turn to if I need help or support. The training thats provided is really comprehnsive, and I know if I wanted to branch off and do some specialised training I can.
Feel very supposrted by the training provider. Always willing to help and offer advice.
I know that I have great support network around me of people I can go to if I needed the help. My line manager and my mentor, have been very good at getting me settled in and setting me up with what is expected of me and what I am going to be doing. If I needed to I could give them a call anytime and know they wouldnt mind.
Very well. Actually get paid more for doing the Apprenticship then getting paid instore, which is very rare for an apprenticeship programme.
Boots encourages us to get out and help within the community which is absolutely brilliant. We also go on experiential events and lots meetings and get togethers.
Yes
Its a great opportnity, and the wide breath of experience and support that you recieve definitely make it worth while. The benfits of the college course and the work experience together really are brilliant.
The application process can seem a bit long winded, but its definitely worth pushing through. Prepare well for the interview and try to cover every question that you may think will be asked, and dont be afraid to ask questions aswell! This is an absolutely great opportunity for anyone, and It is something I would recommend
