My role is similiar to that of an Assistant Relationship Manager's. On a day-to-day basis I provide support for the Commercial Relationship Managers in Balckburn and Bolton
I have learnt many new skills in regards to everything that is needed to run bank accounts for custopmer's taht have a £2m - £25m turnover. I have developed my pre-existing customer service skills.
I have really enjoyed my first four months, it has been a very enjoyable, very steep learning curve for me
I feel very valued by RBS, by my colleagues in the office and by those who are running my apprenticeship. Everyone has made me feel very comfortable and very at ease in my new job.
The programme is very well organised and has quite a rigid structure, which is very good.
I have recieved ample ammount of support from my training provider. After I have completed my exam I think that there will be more support given and more support will be needed, when I start my workbooks. I have no doubt that whatever support I need I will recieve from my training provider.
Similar to my last answer, I have had an overwhelming ammount of support from my employer. Everyone in my office, all my colleagues have been very understanding of my lack of knowledge, and also my need for time away from my desk in order to get my work done for my exam. My line manager, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], has been very supportive, giving me more time to revise than my training provider suggested, and always checks in with me, making sure that I will definitely be prepared for my exam. Furthermore in prepartation for my workbooks, we have sat down and gone through how much time I will need to complete them and how he and the rest of the team can support me with this.
My salary is ample for my costs.
Yes there are many opportunities outside of my workplace. The new DCB [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], is bringing many new social activities, and I have already been on visits to other departments of the bank, which is outside my apprenticeship requirements. Furthermore I am a Girl Guide Leader and the Bank has allowed me to have more flexible work hours in order for me to be able to keep my committment to my voluntary work.
Yes
It is a very good environment to work in, very friendly, helpful and is a very understanding place.
Try hard, because it's worth it!!!
