i am involved in credit card queries and new accounts for commercial cards. I sort out general queries, scan and process new card applications as well as representing my team as the leader of scl ideas which are designed to simplify customer life.
I've developed my computer skills and learnt how best to talk to customers. Furthermore i have learnt new processes and a new culture and way of working that was different to how i used to work. This as well as teamwork have been improved.
i enjoy it quite a lot as i get a lot of support from colleagues as well as enjoying working with them. I also like the challenge and the opportunity for progression within my area. My only slight issue is that i feel on my exam side i am not being supported as adeptly as i should be and i do not feel valued by my instructors
I feel very valued by rbs as a whole, there are plenty of opportunities and it is very welcoming. My team seem to value me a lot and i am valued enough that i am wanted to flex in for different teams when there are difficulties. its nice to know that i am appreciated.
The organisation and structure has not been brilliant, i feel there have been miscommunications between my tutors and my employers though any issues have been sorted out quickly. It is structured quite well although i am not keen on the idea of having to complete coursework the same month i study for an exam.
This is where i feel there is an issue as i feel well supported on technical issues where i need stuff to be processed, that is done very well however the actual teaching i feel is not adequate and questions i have tend to get passed on instead of handled
My employer is very helpful and always willing to support me in my studies and if i need to take time off to do so. They also help me in other areas personally and with development to help me feel welcome and supported.
My salary packet far surpasses expectations and easily meets my costs. I have no complaints whatsoever and earn a lot more than most are expected more than a lot of the other staff working alongside me in full time roles hence i cannot complain at all about what i earn
I try to keep myself busy and manage my time to enjoy more activities. It is not so restricting that i cannot have any extracurricular activities. In terms of development opportunities i enjoy mixed martial arts and going out with my friends and socialising as well as networking
