I work within a team of RM's and PM's, day to day I contact customers for accounts, I deal with daily excess reports, and any other tasks that will change daily. I am general support for the team that I am in.
Yes, I have learned how to use specific computer programmes that are needed for my role. I have also developed my basic computer skills for programmes like word and excel.
I am really enjoying my aprrenticeship so far, I enjoy learning something totally new. I enjoy being a part of a team also. The work I do is really interesting.
I feel somewhat valued... sometimes there is a lot of positive things happening.. however sometimes it can feel like i am being left out of the loop of things.
I think that the programme could be structured better... communication can be poor sometimes. The first few months of my apprenticeship i recieved no / very little communication from BPP and i recieved several emails about registration which i had to query.. and it the end the emails weren't even relevant to myself. I was told to ignore them.
Now i feel like i recieve a lot of support, my assesor is really helpful, and i know that i can easily ask her any questions. However at first it took 2 or 3 months for me to actually hear from my assesor.
I recieve a lot of support from my employer, i am given as much time as i need to study or complete my task books and i am able to ask any questions as well.
My salary package meets my costs/ needs very well. I am able to live/ budget comfortably every month. It also exceeded my expectations for the role as well.
I am not 100% sure what this question actually means. I haven't seen any apportunities outside of work for me to develop my skills or learn more as of yet, this may change in time though.
Yes
I think that it is a great place to start building your career, with the backing of such a large institution behind you. I love that I am able to study and gain qualifications as I earn.
I would advise them to do their research before hand, be prepared for the interviews and questions. And just be honest with their answers, be yourself, don't try to be soemone you're not.
