I am a service technician for VM. My role includes installing and fixing customers services. I will have various jobs throughout the day and I have to diagnose the fault and fix it. I must also have good customer skills to provide them with an overall great service.
I have learned many skills. I have gained a lot of hands on work, organisational skills, customer service and also teamwork.
I enjoyed the programme.Working from the bottom and gradually becoming a fully trakned technician. I found that the apprenticeship manager was very easy to talk to and had a grip on the work that had to be completed.
I feel very valued by VM. I have a great team that help each other on a daily basis.
Overall it was well structured. A good mix of practical and theory. I believe though that after some training was done we should have returned to the field with our buddy for a further few weeks.
Some, mainly the in-house manager though.
Very much. My manager was there for me 24/7. If he didn't know the Nasser he knew someone who would and had the answer almost instantly.
Well paid, with the work that is put in on a daily basis though I this k it could be improved.
I work long hours but have an extra day off per week so I would say its 50/50.
Yes
The staff are great and easy to get along with. The service is without doubt the best in this industry.
If you work it and stay organised the job is great.
