Yes - I am working towards a full qualification which is at level 3. I will also be able to achieve level 2s in English maths and ICT. I will be learning new systems and processes that VM use on a daily basis towards becoming an Entry Level Planner.
I enjoy the job that I am doing and feel that the apprentice route is good to take for anyone willing to work hard and be prepared for new things. The team I work in is a great time and I am able to fit in well with them. It has met my expectations extremely well, and I am learning more than I ever thought I would imagine.
I feel that I am very valued by virgin media to be employed by them and to have the reward and recognition I feel I deserve. The benefits are second to none from this company and gives a great reward structure. this in turn gives good pay and also great progression
I feel that at times the programme can be adapted. The induction for the first week was great as it gives you an insight on who Virgin Media are, however for an internal employee I feel this can be cut down from a week to maybe 3 days as internal already know about the values of standards of Virgin Media. Studying is great as we get a full day with our apprentice manager to go through what we are doing towards our qualification. however the on the job training can be a bit here and there. I feel there is no structure on this part and can be thrown in the deep end. which can be great for some but others cant be.
I feel that the support is always there when needed and that I can ask any questions and get a reasonable answer when needed. if I have any issues I can go ask any memember of the team and senior person to get a good valued response from them
again as above. I feel that the support is always there when needed and that I can ask any questions and get a reasonable answer when needed. if I have any issues I can go ask any memember of the team and senior person to get a good valued response from them
I feel that the salary is great compared to anywhere else with a great staff package of tv bbi and Telco, along with all the other benefits that we get. from bupa down to sharesave. We have also been introduced to a new car salary sacrifice scheme which in my opinion is amazing.
I feel that there are enough opportunites outside of work. There are loads of company/corporate events to attend whether that is Roadshows or training away from the office. We are able to give a day towards a charity and spend time with the local community raising funds for them.
Yes
I feel that Virgin Media is a great place to work and being rated within the top 10 employers to work for. This is agreat place to learn about the telecommunications industry from call centre staff upto directors. It is one big valued family and work together in a unified group. anybody looking from the outside in would see how lucky we are to work for such a great company who look after their staff on a daily basis.
I would say to be yourself and don't be afraid of any stage of the application process. Virgin look for reliable and honourable people who are highly motivated. it may feel scary at first but if you are yourself you will do fine. virgin don't want the know it all person they are looking for someone to be able to work hard and learn as they go on. once employed by virgin media its a rollercoaster and working hard and playing hard. they always look to reward there own with good incentives and pay.
