Access Planner, this role entails planning the fibre route to a Virgin Media business customer. Daily we have a lot of internal interactions to all different members of staff at Virgin Media including other planners, order owners and account managers.
In my apprenticeship I have learnt many different skills, not only have I learnt to plan and how to use all of the different systems which are used I have also learnt speaking and listening skills.
I enjoy working for the Virgin Media company and it is a new challenge each day at work, I also enjoy the team I work with and enjoy the engagement activities.
Overall I feel valued by Virgin Media and if we go above our usual job role we get recognition for this.
Overall the whole experience was organised and structured, we always had support and a mentor system was put in place from the first day of the apprenticeship.
From the first day of our apprenticeship we always had support, a planner was assigned to work solely with supporting and helping the apprentices which was very useful to have.
We always receive all of the support that we need from both the planning manager and the apprentice manager.
The salary package now I am graduated is very good and I always have time outside of work to socialise with friends which is good.
Outside of work there are now many different opportunities, now I am working from 8-4 I always have time to spend with friends/family when I have finished the day and I have time to prepare for the next working day.
Yes
Virgin Media is a great company to work for and they will always look after your well being and try to balance work life with social life.
Apply online first and then go to an assessment day, these can sometimes be tricky as they are an all day activity but just stay focused and relaxed at all times, and be yourself.
