My role is supervisor, on a daily basis this includes opening the store and checking tills, making sure all paperwork is done and up to date, working stock and ensuring the shop floor is hazard free. It also involves being there to help with customer complains and enquirers and making sure there are no problems in the store.
I have learnt many new skills such as processing paperwork and filing it correctly, working with stock takers and the process it is carried out in. I also have learnt the process of the store from opening to close. I've gained confidence since starting and now feel less shy when talking to people I don't know.
I throughly enjoyed my programme, I had loads of support from my colleagues and assessor. My manager was a big support and taught me a lot.
I feel very valued by Savers and also by my store. I feel that I've become an important part of the company and would like this to continue.
It's very well organised and easy to follow. The work is easy to follow and if there's anything I don't understand there's always someone to ask and help.
I receive loads of support, I know that if there's anything im unsure of I can always ask.
I also receive a lot of support from my employer, my colleagues are a big help and if I don't know they do. I know I can always call them if I don't understand something or get confused.
I feel that the salary isn't the best in comparison to places such as Aldi but, I feel that for myself it meets my costs now but could be improved on so you can earn more as you can work loads of hours.
I believe there are many opportunities outside of work.
Yes
My personal experience with my team and assessor has been fantastic and I have told friends how good and useful it has been to me. I think that Savers does offer a fantastic programme allowing you to learn so much whilst earning. I would highly recommend it to anyone not just my friends.
I would advice them to stick at it for the year, yes it can feel like there's loads of work and discussions to do but you can learn more doing the programme in comparison to just working for the company. I would advice them to ask teammates and their assessor anything they don't understand as they can always help them.
