Software engineer - Currently working within a Project management/Reporting environment but with some association to testing.
Currently in the process of getting fully qualified but you learn skills day to day being around experienced workers and interesting clients. Learnt much about how projects are run behind the scenes specially for big companies like Marks and Spencer's.
Currently my programme is a very good one, seems very important with a lot of good experience people working around me, although sometimes slow there is always something to be learned and always chances to impress.
I feel that just because I am a higher apprentice it doesn't mean I am overlooked we are very valued within Capgemini and you can tell this by the respect given by fellow colleagues.
The structure as been fluxed but is not settling into a nice rhythm where everyone knows there place.
Its a decent amount of support but sometimes I feel it could be a little bit more. With some more detail given in explaining tasks.
The employer is always there when you need them and never far away if you need assistance with anything. The intranet is great and has all the resources necessary to find anything you need
As an apprentice with a cap wage I can safely say I believe they are unrivalled by anyone
There will always be opportunities are out of work specially with technologies that are around these days.
Yes
Capgemini is a great place, if not only for how they treat there employers. There training scheme is brilliant and there view of you is high. Count in the amazing apprentice wage and career prospects you just cannot go wrong
Teamwork is vital it is fine having amazing personal talents but if you can not showcase you abilities to allow and work with others then Capgemini may not be the place for you. In this case being to independent is a bad thing.
