Varies on a day to day basis, main role is to do fieldwork at different clients where I interact with my team (usually 2-6 people) and the clients finance team. I perform testing over clients financial accounts to make sure they are inline with the accounting laws and procedures
I have been on many training courses to bring my skills up to the level PwC needs, as well as generic communications courses and team building, they also provide key specific training which is relevant on a day to day basis. Also my excel skills have improved dramatically through performing the work and I have gained more confidence in regards to speaking with clients.
I think this is a very good programme because of the variety of things you get to do. Never is one day the same as another and you are always made to progress and they push you forwards in your career path.
I think there is a more personal feel when working within PwC as managers and in-charges do see the work you are putting in and are appreciative of it. PwC also provides many social events to rewards us for the work that we do.
I think this programme is very well structured as it doesn't just throw you into things that you cannot do, they provide well run training courses which help with the work that we do and assign tasks to us which are manageable. Also there is a lot of support from both people who are above me and my peers. It helps resolve any issue I have and it makes me feel more welcomed/comfortable
We do receive a good amount of support from our training provider and we have their contact information should we need to get in touch with them and they also provide forums where not only can their support team help but also other people on this course
There is a very positive attitude towards support even if the manager/in-charge is busy, there is also a very good support network if I run into an issue.
The salary is very good and I am easily able to live off of the package they provide. They provide great benefits aswell should you choose to take them.
PwC organises many social events and helps encourage people to integrate into the firm. It doesn't matter what level you're at either, everyone gets involved. There is also good volunteering opportunities as they provide a set amount of time off a year for you to volunteer for something.
