My role includes. Operating the tills, maintaining stock levels, cashing up and safe handling, man management, and dealing with customer complaints
I have learned new communication skills. Counting skills, time keeping skills and also how to conduct myself in work as a mentor
I enjoy the programme as you feel you are part of a family. The manager look after you and train you as best they can. Best experience I've had in working life so far
I feel very valued. You get praised for every little thing you do and you constantly get feedback to improve on any areas. As the store have little staff. You know everyone and feel like part of a family
The programme is structured well as you get your svq in retail skills. The balance between college work and working is thought out well and there's never to much pressure to complete work as they set realistic targets
I receive a great amount of support from my training provider. Any questions you have you can email text or phone. And they always get back to you when you need them
The employers are great. They have so many years of experience between them that all the knowledge you get from help you to achieve your targets
The wage your on is far higher then any other apprenticeship in fact it's higher than the minimum wage for under 21 which is fantastic as you are just as valuable as any other member of staff and you get payed accordingly
Yes we have many team building days and days out with just the staff. As I said you really get the sense that we are all one big family
Yes
As its a fantastic opportunity to learn valuable life skills and also get a job for life that just keeps giving the more you give to the company
I would say as long as your hard working. Willing to put the time and effort into the job. You will get exactly what you need out of it and make a great bunch of friends along the way
