4 days a week we are in the state of the art workshop where we develop our practical skills by doing a number of tasks from hand fitting, Turning, Milling, Electrical and Mechanical. Each
Yes, I have learnt many new skills and also I have developed on a wide range of skills i only had a basic understanding of when I started. We are also doing a BTEC qualification of which I am also learning
I enjoy all aspects of the apprenticeship and enjoy every other assosiate that I am working with, everybody gets on really well and works as a good team to complete tasks and projects
I feel that we are looked very highly on by all our managers at BMW and also that we are treated like adults and with respect.
The apprenticeship program is structured extremely well and every aspect of the program has been correctly laid out meaning that we have plenty of time for training and things aren't having to be rushed to get done resulting in poor quality
I receive a great deal of support from all of the trainers that are provided at BMW, no trainer makes you feel stupid or like you are no good at what you are doing and will do everything they can to help you out
I receive a great deal of support from my employer too who will always offer to provide any means of support that is needed whether it be in work or outside
Yes, my salary does meet all my costs eg they cover living costs, travel costs and social costs
Yes there are many different events that are held outside of work that BMW provides for their apprentices e.g. mountain challenges etc
Yes
I would defiantly recommend BMW group to a friend because of the fact that they look after your needs very well and provide a high quality level of training and also opportunities
Gain as much experience as possible before hand and make sure you try your hardest in school etc to make sure you get the best qualifications and give your bets on assessment days don't hide yourself away
