Maintenance Technician Maintaining and repairing technical equipment Manually controlling ABB Robots Ensuring continuous production Designing improvements to the production line. Monitoring throughput times.
I have learnt more during the apprenticeship then through school. I have been on various training courses, such as welding, DC tools, milling, turning and hand fitting. I have learnt how to re-sequence PLCs and how to run a production line.
I enjoy the daily work and the team I work with. The body shop environment is great, and I will happily continue to work here.
I feel appreciated by my direct manager and direct colleagues. I feel I am NOT appreciated by my training managers.
The induction was poorly structured, the training managers were incompetent. I received a lot of support from my training mentors from Birmingham Metropolitan College. The studying time was adequate.
Enough.
The bare minimum from my training management.
Very well indeed.
There are some company events and outside of work activities.
