My role as a Project Management Apprentice involves a number of key tasks that can happen on a daily basis such as ensuring key deliverables are completed, stakeholders are kept updated on progress & the project is complant.
Of course. We are learning something new most days, weather that be how to interact with different stakeholders. Skills such as communication& cooperation are constantly being developed.
The majority of the time it is an extremely rewarding programme, some things aren't very fun but that is the same for most jobs!
99% of the time. Most of the work I do is welcomed with open arms by all involved, occasionally you get one person who is different but this can be expected.
Very. I always know what is coming up or when something is due. We were given a roadmap at the start with ideas of where we should be at each point along the 2 year timeline.
During busy period with exams or deadlines, lots. However, if these periods aren't upcoming... Not a great deal. We have workshops or webinars but the success of webinars are debatable.
A healthy amount. Regular 121's with Line Managers & Mentoring sessions arranged with different people across the group really goes a long way to help with my development.
Extremely well. For a 19 year old Apprentice I couldn't ask for anything more than what I am earning. We are not paid as normal apprentices, we are offered full time salaries from the start.
Yes - As an Apprentice Ambassador we are often given opportunities to volunteer. In addition to this, we are given opportunities within the bank to take part in days to go out in the community to volunteer.
Yes
I feel they are a great company to work for who are there to help and develop employees. You are welcomed to the family from the beginning and they go above and beyond.
Go in with open arms, expect a difficult application process & work hard in the opening weeks/months to get your name out there so you have things to do throughout the opening period.
