I enjoy working hands on, and I am looking forward to being able to take my own jobs out after my apprenticeship.
Before beginning this apprenticeship I did not have knowledge of the oil and gas industry, but not working on site I can do so with knowledge and confidence.
I really enjoy the National Grid led courses as these are relevant to what I will be doing on site. I find it easier to absorb information relevant to me.
I am always involved in tasks on site, and recieve feedback for anything I do off job.
The structure has improved since I have started. As I was part of the first group to use this structure of course there was a few problems, but all handled well.
The National Grid courses are thorough and have good, useful content.
All National Grid staff I have encountered will go out of there way to ensure I understand something and to make me feel part of the team.
My salary is comfortable, however when I qualify, I may need to move closer to site to eliminate high fuel costs.
Yes
This is a good apprenticeship with opportunities to move up the career ladder towards management.
If not successful at first application, I would recommend to try again as this is definitely worth while waiting for.
