In My role I meet customers needs with products such as current accounts, loans, savings, home insurance, credit cards and overdrafts, in a day to day I would probably see around 5 customers meeting a different range of needs and passing them to other colleauges to help with things such as mortgages and protection (wealth), I would also do some calling to invite customers into the branch to review their accounts and also support and coach colleauges in the banking hall by queue walking and helping customers with queries at busy times.
I have learnt new skills such as speaking more to customers and by asking more questions I have been able to help with more complex needs and helping other colleauges with my experience
I enjoy my apprenticeship programme alot, I really enjoyed the mid year event in edinburgh meeting other colleauges sharing views, I also thought the instructor billy who did the event was fantastic and I took on board alot of new things.
I feel valued by lloyds banking group by getting the opportunity to do different things like these and taken time out of my day to day activites to do new skills and complete my apprenticeship programme.
It is very structured, I know exactly when my apprenticeship leader is coming to visit myself and I know which tasks etc I have to do before the next month.
I have recieved alot of support if I have any questions I will pop an email and I recieve an almost immediate reply with a answer and documents etc.
I recieve support from my employer by getting the time out of role to complete activites by the way of diary management, they also allow me to attend the mid year event which was fantastic.
Its okay but I still think we do so much within our role and should be paid more.
Outside of work I do not really look for other opportunities I am happy in the role that I do at the moment.
Yes
I think its a satisfying job to be able to help customers with their financial needs, I work with alot of great people which makes the job more enjoyable.
I would give them the tips of keeping it simple and not to be afraid to talk to customers, the worst thing they can say it no, you are only doing your job.
