Project Management Apprentice, have ran small change projects within the bank and have recently began to support with the mobilisation of larger changes within the Bank.
I have developed my communication and networking skills and continue to improve my knowledge around banking, finance and consumers. I have also gained skills in presentation, formatting and the creating of company specific documents.
I have found my programme challenging, rewarding and overall a very positive experience. I enjoy my current role and look forward to graduating into a permanent position.
I feel that LBG value me as a staff member, I have been supported throughout challenging personal circumstances and, like other colleagues, have been encouraged to utilise flexible and agile working where required.
The structure of my programme has allowed me to move across different areas of the group, vastly improving my understanding of my job role and allowing me to build knowledge along the way.
I have always received prompt and useful replies from my training provider when I have reached out. I continue to catch up regularly with my apprentice assessor, even in the latter stages of the scheme.
I have been fully supported by my employer from day 1 of my scheme. I have felt able to reach out and flag when further support/assistance is required.
My salary/package works well against my costs. I have been able to personalise my package, allowing me to receive benefits that are relevant to me.
I have had the opportunity to raise money on behalf of colleagues in the group, attend 'make a difference days' to support local businesses and have thoroughly enjoyed the networking and social opportunities offered to me.
Yes
I think LBG offers a fantastic environment to work in where employees are supported and heard. Career progression is heavily focussed on and there are many opportunities in which to develop personal and professional skills.
When applying for jobs, it's important to look at the wider picture - your 'dream job' might not be available, but to get started in the bank is just the first step. The opportunities once on board are endless.
