  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I have recently came back into Telephone banking as a Banking advisor after having been in a support role in Tactical support team for over a year. I am currently in training to become re validated for my Role which is servicing calls from the public regarding their customer acccounts.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • At present I am undergoing re training and am learning some of the new Galaxy platform which appears to be a lot easier than using edge / CAAG. I am also becoming more confident in the existing Banking skills which I have not used for some time.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The apprenticeship programme was a new experience for me whenever I did it, and I enjoyed learning the new skills that I was learning, and the fact that the scheme stretched my mind and made me look in directions I had never thought of previously.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Within my curreent Role as a Banking advisor, I feel extremely valued by Lloyds Banking Group, as an integral part of my team, Crew and the Contact Cenrtre in general.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • When I undertok the apprentice scheme, I found it extremely well structured, with adequate time to complete modules, in a logical progression.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Having just returned into Role, the training I receive to become re validated as a Banking advisor is excellent and covers all aspects of the role.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My lne manager, initially and then my sevice manager all support me in all ways possible with regards to any questions I have, my disability (I had a small stroke about 10 Months ago) and any other issues

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • My salary / package meets my costs adequately, however I do have my pension from a previous job, whicj I find is extremely useful in meeting any bills.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • I have not researched opportunities outside of the Lloyds Banking Group as I am happy in my current Role, and taking int o account my age am not looking for anything else.

  • 9. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • As a job, it fulfils all my needs and aspirations, low as they may be, again due to my slight disability. Support for anyone joining is good and Remuneration is ok.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • First of all, enjoy the Role and any challenges it may present. Always ask questions and above all make sure you follow all procedures and their is always availability for progression.
