Assurance associate - on a day to day basis I travel to different clients addresses. Where we would work in teams of 2-6 people auditing the financial statement of that particular company. I would be responsible for certain sections of a file where the statutory audit would be documented. Very project based due to the movement around to different clients.
Yeah I have learnt a massive amount in my time at Grant Thornton UK LLP. I have qualified as a management accountant under AAT. I have been on countless internal training courses and have developed into a well rounded business person.
I enjoy my day to day job as there is always opportunities to take on more responsibility and enrich other who have started at a later time to you. Overall there is a great working environment.
Very valued as there is a lot of care and consideration upon joining Grant Thornton UK LLP. After that there is always a channel to communicate through if problems arise. They have a good incentive scheme to keep you motivated and recognition of work is high.
This is the only place where Grant Thornton UK LLP fell down there was no clear path after the School leaver program. What was promised to me was not delivered. A more clear and concise route would have been better.
We had an individual tutor from our college where they looked after our progression through AAT and also we have line managers who are the 'go to' guys for support. The line managers also keep up to date with exams success etc..
Any support needed is there. Standard support is also there for everyone where there are reviews and progress meetings etc.
Salary is at market rate and made ends meet during this part of the contract.
There are many social events to attend both internally and externally with colleagues, these include sports, pub quiz nights, student nights etc.. 1 day a year can be spent on voluntary work which Grant Thornton UK LLP will pay you for.
Yes
There is a great working environment where everyone supports one and other. Grant Thornton has a great atmosphere to work in the support in all areas are impeccable.
