I am a full accreditied financial crime investigator. This involves reviewing and managing potentially high risk customer's and their accounts and decided wether to maintain the relationshiop
I have to make decisions and give evidence to back up why i have made that certain decision. I manange my own time and worklaod which is useful for other roles
I enjoy the challenge of learning a new skill which is highly adaptable. The work is interesting and engaging. i haven't really done much work towards the apprenticeship programme so i can't comment on that.
fairly valued. There are a lot of people who do the same job as me so it is difficult to get recognition for doing something amazing because we have to follow strict procedures.
The apprenticeship programme hasn't gotten off to a great start. It was meant to start in september/october 2015 however it's now march 2016 and i'm still waiting to recieve a dedicated assessor
I dont have a designated training provider, I have one that is standing in until a permanent one is found. otherwise he is good at what he does and offers advice where he can.
The emplyer is fairly supportive I will soemtimes reiceve designated time to complete my apprenticship work however this is only when i ask for it directly
salary is respectable and in line with others on my department, it's good becasue this makes me feel like a valued team member rather than a new starter
Not really, my role is very unique so finding something to get even a little bit close to what i do in my day to day role is difficult to say the least.
Yes
It's provided me with a stepping stone into a career i both enjoy and thrive off. I would reccomed it as and employer because they are fair and encouraging
Be honest and explain to whoever is intervuiewing you what your long term goals are, this can help them pre plan a route for you. Also eb enthusiastic about the role
