  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As an apprentice technician i spent my day to day activities with my mentor, shadowing and learning techniques and practiced, whilst also learning customer service skills meeting a number of customers everyday and catering to their needs.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of practical skills, manual handling and also a lot of health a safety precautions i should follow in the work place. Also showing the ups and downs of working in the field.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Virgin Media O2?
  • I felt that the managers made sure i had anything i needed, any advice i needed they were/are always a phone call away, anything they could do to assist me, they would do to the best of their ability.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very organised, for example when i had to take some personal time away from the apprenticeship for a few weeks, they catered to my need and when i returned they welcomed me with open arms and i started where i left off.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The salary is acceptable at the moment, there are always ways to boost your wage packing by doing extras throughout your job, for example making a sale and getting new customers to join Virgin Media.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There are a lot of team events that happen outside of work to help bring employees together outside the work place. Also there are a lot of charity events also.

  • Yes

  • Virgin Media is a great company, with a lot of chance of progression. Working hard will be recognized and your line manager will always support you and help you progress throughout the company.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Virgin Media O2?
  • I would say just be yourself, and show that you are a committed individual and will become the brand.
