I am an FSO for the coop Funeralcare. My daily duties vary from collecting a deceased person, to making their coffin or getting them dressed for their funeral. I also drive the Limousine and bear the coffin.
I have learnt various new skills including driving a hearse, assisting clients when they are at their lowest ebb, also how to prepare someone for their funeral.
The programme has been very enlightening and has helped me in my new role as a Funeral service Operative. I enjoy learning and am discovering new things from every section of my learning programme.
I feel a little valued, but also feel they could show their appreciation in a better way. say like giving us time to complete the tasks set for the apprenticeship.
Overall it is very well structured, but as previously stated, it would be better to have more time to complete the tasks.
I have regular contact with my Assessor, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]. If I have any problems she is only a phone call away and has been very helpful and quick to respond.
Not as much as I would like, due to work load and pressure. It would be good to have more time.
