I am a higher project management apprentice taking on a role within a PMO team of 7 people supporting an account of 500+. My daily tasks include risk management, communications, invoicing, project reporting, etc.
Yes I have been on a few training courses specific to Atos. APMIC course and also completed my Higher Project Management Apprenticeship through QA.
I enjoy the team I am part of and believe that I can progress well through my company. The job does not exactly match the training but am happy in the role that I am in.
Yes
The course doesn't fully match the job role I am in. Apprenticeship is in project management, but I am a PMO staff member.
Monthly/bi monthly catch ups. Supportive and offers great feedback.
My assignment manager is very understanding in that I needed time to complete apprenticeship work.
Salary is well suited during apprenticeship. However, after apprenticeship is completed there is no great jump to match the grade increase. Hard to then progress salary-wise.
Starting to get involved in voluntary activities.
Yes
Large company with a wide variety of career types with ability to progress.
Be yourself but remain professional, Atos look for personal qualities as well as qualifications. Get involved during assessment days and be vocal during group assessments.
