The programme has had high and low points but overall a good experience. The training was mostly beneficial and taught me a lot - especially the programming courses. I enjoy solving issues and writing software to help improve team efficiency.
I don't feel I am of much value to Atos but hopefully as I build upon my skills the situation will change.
Overall pretty poor structure. Coursework was given out in a poor order and timescales to complete work was terrible (3 months to complete 2 simple units but 3 weeks to complete 3 in depth units). Most training courses were either too long or too short for what was taught. Meetings with assessors are often arrange last minute and usually far apart.
The training provider offered some support, helped us with issues when met in person but rarely responded to emails, which resulted in meeting work hand in deadlines difficult.
Employer is supportive, allowing me time to work on coursework and even helping with documentation evidence and allowing other team members to help when needed.
Salary is great, and meets my needs. With set pay increments I feel I am always working towards a worthwhile goal.
There seem to be a few but not much I have been involved in, things seem more focused on England rather than Scotland.
Yes
Overall been a good experience and has been beneficial for my development and career.
Don't worry too much about existing skills, just be prepared to learn on the job and while on training.
