I work on the Highways team. I work with engineers and other technicians to produce CAD drawings, 2D models and 3D models.
I have learnt lots of different software such as Microstation, OpenRoads, PowerCivil and AutoCAD. I have been on many other traning courses, or attended talks about relevant civil engeineering topics to increase my knowledge.
I am happy that I chose to work at Arup.
I feel very valued on the projects I work on.
I am always given work, however if I do get short then you just need to ask and someone is always more than willing to help out
They provide a good level of guidance in lessons and want to help you get through the work.
I get a lot of support. I have an assiged mentor. Everyone at work is more than happy to help you out
My salary isn't brilliant at the moment, it is enough to get by, but it is almost impossible to save money for the future, e.g. a house
There are many opporunities with the work Sports & Social Club. I play football and golf. My disipline also organises regular nights out, which I try and attend
