I worked as a general member of the adit teams on which I was a part of. I performed testing of finanacial statements in whichever areas I had been assigned.
I have built upon my university knowledge as well as gaining the experience on the job. I have training in the form of time at university, pre-placement training weeks and online courses to ensure I was always developing and maintaining my skills
The job is very professional and I feel valued in my role and the work I perform. The teams are all very approachable and sociable to ensure that even the tedious work is dealt with ease. i found myself enjoying the work above my expectation
After every job I recieve regular feedback and feel like any contributions I have made are mentioned. There are various systems in pace to ensure I would be recognised for any extra work done.
The degree programme has been running for over 10 years now and the structure is well implemented. There are various support systems, I am given high levels or reponsibility and regular meetings
My training providor ensured that at least for the first day I was as fully prepared for as possible. Once I was on the placement traing was largely on the job and can in the form of feedback and reviews.
PwC provided as much support as possible, assigning a people manager, course champion, buddy as wel as all the individual support systems for each individual job providor.
It more than covers my costs, particularly as I am living at home and expenses are relatively minimal. The salary received more than covers my entire year expensiture and is very comfortable
The company has regular socials, with many occuring in my short time here. There are many opportunities to get involved in the office and to enjoy the social side.
Yes
PwC is a great professional firm with a good reputation. They provide good enough training to prepare you to work in industry if desired, and open the door to many opportunities.
The general interview process is not the same as with my course, but the basics are the same. Just to sell why you want the job and what the firm can bring to you is the main thing they want to hear.
