On a day to day basis i Amend and create autodesk CAD drawings, i often complete Stat returns of underground and above ground services. i also used ArcGis
Before i started work at Arup i had no knowledge of the software's used and the techniques used in the industry, i now know a varied range of software's we use and i am learning to use them efficiently
I find my apprenticeship with Arup extremely enjoyable as it allows me to gain working experience alongside professionals and gain a wide range of skills which i may not learn within full time studying.
Working at Arup I am treated as one of the professionals and with plenty of respect. Arup provides a very Friendly working environment.
My programme is well structured as i am the first apprentice with in the water group, i was well introduced and i am constantly training day by day. there are regular Lunch time talks (CPD) provided to develop your career.
I am provided with more than sufficient support from my tutor at all times.
I am also provided with more than sufficient support from my Manager, Mentor and HR all being easily accessible to contact at all times.
I believe that my Salary and package meets my costs as i am only 16 so i am still living at home and i only have to pay for the train at current time.
Arup provide regular group event and sporting activities which all staff can participate within, ICE allow me to volunteer within their activities and attend their lectures.
