I support the realtionship team in the out commercial office. I assist the relationship managers and assistant relationship managers in anyway possible, liaising with customers and relationship managers alike. My role involves going on cutomer meeting with muti-million pound commercial customers with relationship managers; going on events whether internal or external such as going to london for a careers events; and day to day work speaking to customers on the phone and carrying out tasks for the relationship team in order serve the customer in the best way possible.
Learn new skills and develop every single day simply through answering customer calls and working out or asking how to solve there problems. No phone call is ever the same.
Enjoy the apprenticeship very much. I am always learning something new and this job gives me an amazing insight in to what business is really about. For example, I have been on a customer meeting with a relationship manager and a business that turned over £25,000,000.
Yes, I feel valued at RBS. Me and my line manager recently presented to a college year of 200 people. One thing that we stressed was that every memeber of the team was as importnant as each other. If i did not carry out my job properly then my line manager would not be able to do his job properly either.
The Learning Programme has been well organised throughout and each apprentice is provided with a timetable of all important dates and times. these are for things such as webinars assignment due dates and exam dates. I always know when I have to do something and by what deadline.
I receive so much support from my training provider. These ranges from being presented to when I was sent up to birmingham for my induction to speaking to assessor every month on a confrence call.
My Line Manager is very supportive and will always do everything he can to make sure I have enough time and resources to carry out work that I am given. For example, my Line Manager lets me spend as much time as I need in the office when I am studying for my exam. We booked a whole day out of my diary for revision so I do well over the minimum requirement for studying.
My salary package meets all of my costs and beyond. This salary for this apprenticeship is very competitive. The apprentice salary compared to other apprenticeships is amazing and the potential for salary progression is very good.
Yes there are many opportunities away from the office. One of my apprenticeship objectives set by the banmk is to go on events each quater whether internal or external.

So don't just use academic attributes, as if you make it to the assessment centre your line manager will only be assessing personal qualities you show to see if they match the banks values.
