Credit Analyst - reviewing corporate credit proposals and writing an analyst report highlighting key strengths and weaknesses. Also monitoring risk to ensure controls are in place.
The Apprenticeship was in a different subject when in a different role - Retail Business Banking - whilst in this role it assisted with customer service skills and also made me consider what the banks USP was.
Programme has finished but at the time it was very enjoyable and enabled me to gain a qualification in banking which was something that i didn't have previously
Extremely valued. Lloyds is very good at developing staff to the highest standards and there are qualifications which can be undertaken after the Apprenticeship which build on the skills already learned.
The programme was very well structured. All workbooks were provided at the beginning and the expectations were made clear by the Learn Direct tutor. This enabled me to work through these at my own pace but i was also kept on track by monthly visits/reviews.
The support received was fantastic and Jan was always on hand should i have a query. Emails were responded to promptly and the provider took a proactive approach to arranging reviews.
Again support was very good with allocated time provided each month so that the qualification could be completed in working hours. I also moved roles during this process and the business was more than happy to let me complete my qualification whilst in another role.
I was being paid the same as others in the role and also gaining a qualification so i feel that the salary reflected the role and costs well. There were no additional costs that i had to pay to undertake the Apprenticeship
There are several opportunities to get involved with Corporate Resposibility including mentoring schemes, charity work and attending schools to eductate students on the world of finance.
Yes
Lloyds is a great employer who values their staff. They have a great rewards package and many different schemes to get involved in outside of the day job.
Just be yourself. Lloyds values a culture of diversity and welcomes people from different backgrounds. It is good to show that you are different.
