I am a Trainee Associate. Each day at PwC is different and brings with it new challanges. I could be at a client site one day doing payroll, and then the next in the office working on investments. There is a lot of responsibility which is great and very rewarding.
I have learnt new skills through both formal classroom learning and on the job learning. I am sitting exams to become a chartered accountant as well as a diploma for my apprecticeship. There are also a lot of internal training courses which further my development.
I love the people I work with. They are from all different backgrounds and there is a real sense of team spirit. The programme has exceeded my expectations and I am very proud to be part of it.
Immensely, it's strange to feel such value at such a junior level but I do. Feedback has been great from both peers and superiors. I am lucky enough to be trusted with complex and stretching tasks.
The programme has been very well structured such that at the end of the two years I will have both a certificate in finance accounting and business as well as a higher apprenticeship diploma. There is lots of support from both internal and external staff.
My training provider is always on hand to answer any questions I may have and actively asks me how I am getting on. There is also support from the exam tutors who are also on hand to answer and queries you have. This is very enjoyable.
I myself can say that I have received such tremendous support from my employer. I have been very lucky enough to transfer offices to make travel easier and the HR team are incredible.
The salary we recieved is plenty, and with a guaranteed payrise every year it allows us to enjoy a comfortable living and be able to afford luxuries as well as necessities.
There are lots, there is always a social event on, there are numerous volunteering opportunities as well as the chance to work in another country. This is something I am very excited about.
