I am a substation apprentice which is an apprentichip to give me the adequate trainig to work in a high voltage substaion as im an apprentice i am currently spenking the majority of my time at national grid's training centre in Eakring.
yes I have leanrt various new skills since starting the job i have ppicked up alot of skills through practical learing and being on site learning from expirienced fellow employees
i enjoy the practical element of my programme as im a practical person
i feel valued as there is currently a massive change at grid and there is alot of emphasis on passing knowledge down gnereations as the current workforce is ageing and they want to pass as much to us as possible and you feel like your of real importance to the future
very well organised
as much as i need i personally have never felt i have not had enough support
again same as above
at the moment my salary as a first year apprentice is very satifying and it does meet my cost but with raising house prices and the cost of living increasing im not sure how long this will last
