The job title is Management Apprentice, the daily tasks vary depending on what shift you're working either AM, PM or Ordering. However the goal with each shift is the same which is to run the store successfully making sure there is a 100% availability at all times, completing performance management & interacting with customers whether is be helping them on the shop floor or dealing with complaints.
In the first year of my apprenticeship I gained my qualifications in Retail and now I'm working towards my qualification in Retail Management. The skills that I have developed is people & time management. Also in my year 2 my confidence has improved tenfold.
I enjoy coming to work, interacting with my team and following the high standards expected from Aldi.
I feel very valued by Aldi, the support from the staff is incredible there is always someone to turn to with issues whether it be personal or performance and I'm always given reign with any projects or proposals that I bring to the table.
The programme is well thought out and structured with monthly visits from my college tutor to discuss and go through my targets.
Aaron my tutor is always available via email if I ever need anything.
We have some great members of the management team with a wealth of experience who are always available and willing to help.
The salary is very good I can't have any complaints I am able to cover all of my living costs.
The 30 hour contract is excellent for having a good work life balance.
Yes
It is a fantastic company to work for and has provided me with the opportunity to be taken on full time after my apprenticeship with a job that would sort me out financially for the rest of my life.
Research the company and how it works, maybe try familiarising yourself with a store and more than anything just be confident.
