My job title is Access field apprentice for Virgin Media. My daily tasks involve fault finding and installing Virgin Media services. Interacting with customers in their own homes and building rapport. Being punctual is one of our main responsibilities because if i'm late into work, the full days work is behind and customers are given time slots that we will attend within. Everyday i meet customers and maintain our network by making sure everything i do is taking care of the network.
I have learnt lots of new skills from driving a van to installing new services and maintaining them. I have learnt how to use a drill properly to reduce blowing bricks. I have learnt allot about manual handling to reduce back strain. I now know how to successfully maintain the Virgin Media network. I have been able to extend my knowledge in giving great customer service.
I really enjoy the programme and feel like im part of a great team, I have worked within the company for 5 years already within the office as part of the Customer Relations team.
I feel valued by Virgin and this is down to feedback from my managers and PT. Customers have also given me great feedback via our NPS score and comments.
I think there has been great organisation as from day one we got our uniforms, expectations where set and overviews given. I have had my apprentice support manager come out with me on jobs providing support. There was however some issues when we got to Birmingham with the pool cars not having car tax. We have regular study days every 2 weeks to catch up and 121 meetings with manager.
Again i have some great support from my managers who are always there on the phone if i need them and also willing to come out if i need them. I have had some great feedback from my local Principle tech.

My salary meets my costs quite well.
