I have now completed my apprenticeship in the Business and Administration Sector. I have now been kept on as a full time permanent employee. My main duties were to book all travel and hotel reservations, long term car hires, deal with suspense/leave requests and booking meetings. I really enjoyed this side of my work as it meant I could be on the front of house and more client focused. I have now moved into a more accounts based role, where I deal with purchase ledger, raising invoices, journals, maintaining the asset register, petty cash claims, banking and company expenses.
I have done many internal training courses such as touch typing and I always take the opportunity when training courses arise. I have learnt a lot working for Mott MacDonald and believe they have helped me to gain a lot of experience.
I really enjoyed the programme. Mott Macdonald as a company is great to work for and all my team are lovely. This definitely surpassed my expectations.
I feel very valued by Mott MacDonald. I always received feedback from my manager and have had some lovely emails from clients highly recommending me.
The whole process was well structured. I had a lot of support whilst studying. Mott MacDonald as a company hire a lot of apprentices therefore they need this training structure in place to ensure it is smoothly run.
My tutor was always on hand if I ever needed anything. Help was always provided and meetings were booked in at consistent intervals.
I have received a lot of support from my employer and was given time to set aside in my working day if I needed it. Amy who was guiding me at the time was excellent and really helped me understand the processes
The salary was really good and met all my living costs and social costs. My wage is a lot higher than average for an apprenticeship
There are a lot of CPDs and Networking events that are open for me to attend. There are lots of activities and opportunities that I can go for outside of work and this is essential when broadening your knowledge and client base.
Yes
Because they're excellent! They met all my expectations and more!
Opportunities arise from the Mott MacDonald Website, the application process is quick and simple. When applying for an apprenticeship you don't need that must work experience as you will get all that in your day to day job when you start work!
