My main job title isTeam Assistant. I am here to help assist the team on any help they may need. On a day to day basis I help with sending invites and helping print content and set up content for workshops and events we hold for internal and sometimes external employees. I also help manage several inbox's, responding to internal and external queries to do with Recruitment and Development. Booking rooms and refreshment is also another thing I help assist on on a daily basis.
I have learnt various new skills in my job role. These include working on a variety of systems such as Taleo, ibusiness, and oracle. My skills have also developed in how to create and maintain spreadsheets, word documents, how to use Google drive and also how to make a google site.
I thoroughly enjoy working at ITV. The work culture here is great and I felt welcomed and had excellent training when starting at ITV. The team I work in is extremely helpful when learning new things and also helped to further my skills with allowing me to spend the last 6 months in the Development Team, swapping over from the Recruitment Team.
ITV are always wanting to develop their employees as much as they can to further their careers and stay within ITV, which I think is great! I have not heard or worked in a company where they have such strong development for their employers. I never feel as if I am 'just the Apprentice' in the team, and feel as if I have a key role in helping the team to meet there goals and targets.
My programme is very structured. We started with an induction week, where we go to know more about ITV, what will be involved throughout the year and training that we will need. We then have several training and development days throughout the year. We then have time each week to study and work towards our qualification.
We receive training mostly from our tutors and external and internal providers. We can always contact our tutors with queries we have and they are there to help. I know I can also go to other Apprentices for help.
I receive lots of support from my team. My manager is always there to help with problems I have and I have meetings with her every week. She allows me to have time to study and do my coursework each with whilst also doing my work. I am also able to ask other members of the team for help if needed.
My travel expensive are extremely expensive and therefore my salary is not great once I have paid for this each month :( I enjoy my work so its worth it!
I am extremely active and enjoy my hobbies outside of work. I always go to the gym and compete in half marathons. When I was not working here I was working full time in a pub.
Yes
