Year 1 Apprentice, Each day is different from serving customers on the tills to working stock on the shop floor. There is always a job to do while working at Aldi.
I have improved my communication skills, confidence and general working skills. I have learned new skills such as dealing with customers and ensuring their satisfaction.
I really enjoy my programme. All my colleagues are really helpful and great to work with as a team. The college work is also good and the work itself is always different which is good.
I feel really valued by Aldi. I always get feedback after completing tasks to ensure I know what I am doing. The manager always let you know how well you are doing and if you need improvement.
my programme is very structured. my training was organised well as you learn on the job so if your unsure you can ask for more practise. the support is great from managers too.
I receive a lot of support from my tutor with my college work. I always get help when I need it and we go at a pace suitable for me. I enjoy my college work.
I receive a lot of support from my employer. The manager gives me a lot of support and feedback regularly. I also get help and guidance with any problem s with my with progress.
My wage meets my travel costs, living and social costs fine for now. It is not a lot to live on but it goes up by the year in the apprentice which is good.
There are different opportunities outside work, highland games in Scotland and new store openings to go along to. Also staff night outs which are fun.

It is great to progress your career in retail management. Always kept busy but every day flies in. If your hard working I would definitely recommend it.
Be enthusiastic about the job and keen. The overall application process is really good and quick. Try and prove yourself on the work trial.
