This apprenticeship is a great opportunity for young students to transition into a professional, working environment with one of the biggest banks in the world. You get support throughout the process through mentors, line managers and career advisers and your day- to- day job is very interesting and a new experience. You can build a network ranging to apprentices to Managing directors due to the ease of communication within the bank and the accommodative nature of all your colleagues. You can get placed in fields such as technology, operations, human resources etc. and they all have different and new challenges for you to face daily, whilst enhancing your knowledge and self worth to your teammates. Fantastic opportunity
Gotten a level 4 apprenticeship qualification. learnt many new technology applications and how to use and audit them. Excel skills have developed massively.
I enjoy it very much, both as a day to day basis and overall. All colleagues are very friendly and accommodating, and your fellow apprentices are no less. The work is always very interesting and challenging to keep you on your feet.
I feel very valued as I am now a crucial part of my team and the functions I do are integral towards my line of business. I have lead projects and worked with Managing directors to ensure goals which is a massive boost for self confidence.
It's extremely well organized as it comprises of 2 weeks worth of boot camp (settling in period) before the apprenticeship starts. When it does start, you are eased into the work slowly and not thrown into the deep end which makes it very easy to transition into the bank.
The training provider gives us a lot of support as they deliver helpful , clear lectures every Friday and are always available to reach on e-mail, or face to face at the JP Morgan campus. Their e-mail replies are very quick and thorough and can help you with just about anything.
JP Morgan is extremely supportive in all areas. This can be ranging form work issues to domestic. All colleagues and managers try to accommodate your best interest and are very supportive with your needs
My big cost is rent as I relocated and my salary does more than accommodate it. I can afford a very decent living whilst not stretching on necessities such as food etc. Very good package.
There are so many opportunities outside work and you are heavily encouraged to take part. Such as; sport (football team, cricket team, tennis club etc.), voluntary events, social groups, bike/ boat races etc.
Yes
One of the best banks in the world to have experience under. Great and accommodating managers/ colleagues. Wonderful work environment and your self worth will increase greatly.
Always be ready to learn new things and make sure to display your personality across whilst in the interview processes. Also always ask for help if you don't understand something and reach out to your programme heads as they're great help for anything!
