most of the time in our first two years of our apperenticeship is spent at a training centre and we are train about and how to do the tasks we are going to do on site and the other time is spent doing hands on experience on ours sites.
i have learnt many new skills as i do not have alot of experience in this area so every thing i learn is a new skill for me pretty much
i really do enjoy working at national grid as you work with great people and i enjoy doing my job you are all looking out for each other if you need help it is always there all you need to do is ask
i feel as valued as everyone else in the company everyone is treated equally and it just feels like a big family if you need help it is always there
year by year you are givin a timetable of what your year is going to be so it is very structured. Very rarely does anything change when it does sometimes change you are told well in advance giving you time to work around it
as much support as you need if you they want you to succeed as much as you do if you need anything you ask and they will try and sort it out and will always willing to hear suggestion.

At the age of seventeen i am paid extremely well i dont have alot of costs to pay out so this pay is great compared to alot of other apperenticeship
we are givin some opportunities outside of work to go to fairs for the company these give us the chance to tell people about the company and what happends in our side of the business.
Yes
its a great company everyone is nice and willing to help you its a massive family for me and people who work here expect nothing more as long as you try your best when doing tasks.
be honest and sell to them how good you are and what they will be missing out on if the dont hire you and just do your research on what your applying for make sure you know your stuff
