As a HRBP in SC my role involves a few admin tasks as casing up queries or advising line managers how to use workday, then I have a few projects I work one such as the structure on how we hire internally, the structure of the organisation etc. I absolutely love my career so far!
I have gained the skill of analysing data and producing answers/conclusions by this. My communication skills for a global role have improved also. I would like to get set up on the MOS Excel course and maybe a Project management course if possible.
I thought being in a global team would be difficult as my line manager is based abroad but technology soon showed me this is just the same as having someone right next to you. I enjoy my role and would not change.
I feel extremely valued, everyone in my business is kind and helpful and make me feel part of the team.
We have regular visits by AEA and have catch ups within UL. PDS don't catch up as regular. Overall I feel comfortable and organised and know what needs doing when.
Claire from AEA is lovely and always there if needed.
Andrien my line manager is only a phone call/Skype away and visits once a month so I know she will always support me, as well as Sandra (manager's manager) she will always give a help in hand if needed.
I took a slight pay cut for this apprenticeship but I am budgeting well.
I am a part of a Brathay challenge with other apprentices which gets my name out there, and visiting schools and colleges to promote apprenticeships after school is a great way to communicate the future generation.
Yes
Unilever have given me a great opportunity to progress my career and gave me the tools to help me achieve this, and such a welcoming company to work for!
Don't panic, be yourself and show them what you are capable of!
