HR Advisor Liaising with managers and senior management on people strategies and general daily tasks and performance processes
I have learned a whole host of new skills. I have gained a level 5 qualification that will allow me to take a top up year to complete my BA (hons) degree. I have attended presentation skills training, cultural awareness and increased my business writing skills.
I have really enjoyed my programme. My team members have contributed to this massively. The on the job learning has been my favourite part of the experience and has given me the most skills for life.
Extremely so, my manager and team have been very supportive. I receive regular feedback and feel valued 100%. Nomura allows me to have access to very senior management through talks and learning sessions. I feel connected to the business and strategy.
My learning provider had some teething problems as this was a new course. However my learning style is kinaesthetic so I did not enjoy the online learning.
There were many people on hand to receive support from. Cathy McTaggart was extremely helpful in particular. The best thing BPP did was listen to our feedback and ACT upon it.
I received a manager and mentor on my arrival within the firm. My manager and team members have been on hand to support me and teach me throughout my apprenticeship.
I was reasonably compensated for my work and feel it was appropriate for the role and my level of experience.
Absolutely, I am now well equipped to successfully obtain a job in the HR industry with my recognised CIPD qualification. Doors have been opened to me through this apprenticeship that previously would not have been.
Yes
Nomura is an excellent company that is supportive and offers so many opportunities. The culture here is second to none.
