I am currently a Windows SA with my past experience being a member in the Implementation Support. I currently manage the handling of break fix changes, backups, alert reduction, BAU.
As part of my apprenticeship I have been able to take Comptia A+ exams and pass but I have also been able to learn things that I would never of been able to do through a book. I feel I have also gained confidence by being involved with a range of projects and dealing with queries on a daily basis
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Nomura, the team I have been given over the two years I have been with have treated with me respect and made me feel like a true employee of Nomura. I have been able to handle big projects and having that responsibility shows that Nomura take their apprentices seriously
Throughout my time with Nomura I have felt that they have taken the apprentice scheme seriously ensuring that I am coping with new challenges but not afraid of throwing me in the deep end but supporting me along the way
From Nomura's side I feel that they have been able to support the programme with great efficiency and I would certainly give them a 10/10. Unfortunately my training provider JustIT have struggled with coping with the level 4 scheme with their systems not up to speed for a monthly period and the unit scheme all over the place
There are monthly meeting which I attend with my assessor which we go over what my current tasks and objectives are and to set future objectives, I feel that these have helped along the way of the apprenticeship
My team has provided me immense support but allowing me to take responsibility shows how confident they are in me. HR department are also reliable with any issues that I may have but overall Nomura provide the necessary support.
I feel that my current wage meets my cost with the ability to also have a travel loan certainly helps.
Nomura provide a wide range of opportunities outside of work from charity work to having a five side game of football.
Yes
Nomura provide a working environment which anyone can thrive from if dedicated
I would advise just be yourself and show how much you want the job
