Project manager/ Estimator - Managing a team of resources to ensure deadlines are met, internal interactions with stakeholders in key parts of the projects, as well as daily interactions with clients. Responsibilities include ensuring deadlines are met and solution are reviewed and approved fully before releasing to clients.
I have learnt many new skills throughout my time at IBM - I have gained several qualifications internally, and look to extend this to externally recognized qualifications.
I enjoy my work on my project, but think there could be some improvements to the scheme as a whole, for example there is a large divide between North and South, and sometimes people can lose sight of the work people do on their projects, although in my eyes, this is the most important part of ones development.
I feel slightly undervalued, from the work I have completed recently, I feel slightly undervalued as the effort I have put in hasn't been recognized very well anywhere other than my project.
Its structured well, but would like to see a more tailored approach.
We receive good support at first from the training providers, we are edged towards certain courses for our development, but it seems as the scheme has continued this has slowly faded, and we are not pushed to do training any more.
We received great support from our employer, we have many points of contact if we have issues, and there is always someone who is willing to help.
The salary is very good compared to other companies I had previously looked at.
We have a social community on the account I work on, and we regularly try to organize events.
Yes
Good company, good training and knowledge, and good benefits.
Don't let it scare you, can be seen as daunting with the company name, but it's a good company to work for.
